About Sponsorship

Rwanda

You have the power to encourage and equip a child with an education and the hope at having a brighter future!  Your tax-deductible gift of just $40 a month, provides a child in post-genocide Rwanda with:

All sponsored children receive a matching gift of a new mattress, blanket, mosquito net, wash tub, and a full Bible in their native Kinyarwanda language!

When you sponsor a child, you’ll receive a packet in the mail with the child’s picture, part of their personal story, and information about the country that they live in.  We encourage our sponsors to ‘keep in touch’ if they would like to through exchanging letters and pictures annually and praying for each other.  We also provide the opportunity for sponsors to send their children Christmas gifts through our annual Christmas Gifts Program and occasionally to go on a trip to visit their child.

Syria

In the post-genocide nations of the Middle-East, children are committing suicide at an alarming rate due to a lack of hope over their futures.  $40 a month provides a displaced child with the hope of rebuilding a brighter future for themselves and their country!  Sponsorship shines light into the darkness and hope into otherwise hopeless situations!

Your recurring monthly gifts will support a nongovernmental co-op school called HOPE School, where the children study Kurdish, Arabic, English, Math, and Joy!  In this school, they are given an education, a support group who’s cheering for them, and snacks which will turn into nutritious meals after enough children are sponsored.

Sponsorship provides HOPE + HOPE saves lives!

Please note that: trips to visit these children will not be available.  Letters back and forth may be the only way to communicate for several years, as these countries are not stable enough to visit at this time.

Asian Orphanage

In 2022, in partnership with another US ministry and our long-time and trusted ministry partners in *Asia, LTU helped to finance and build a much needed orphanage and school inbetween two extremely impoverished villages. The building was finished in September and school began immediately with over 150 chidlren in attendance. By October, the weather was getting cold and the church had been contacted about 17 orphaned children who all needed a new home. We couldn't say 'no' to helping them, since we had 17 warm beds waiting for them, but we had NO regular funding procured yet. But we all felt God asking us to step out and trust Him. He had paid for 100s of "impossible" projects with these partners before and we decided to trust Him for this one too.

As of May 1, 2023, we have kept the doors open, food on the table, and smiles on the children's faces with month-to-month miracles. And as the surprise costs of raising children continue to pop-up, I"m sure we'll be relying on them more. And God ALWAYS supplies- through various donors and kind-hearted people locally and across the world. At Christmas, we were able to purchase all of the children new warm, winter clothes. And then again this Spring, to get ready for Resserection Day Celebrations and the changing of the seasons. The children all have good shoes, access to hot and clean water; they get 3 meals a day. The home even has a milking water buffalo named Buffy, who provides the freshest and most nutritious whole milk and cream on the market.

Our kiddos are safe and happy here. We have round-the-clock security, workers who cook and clean, house moms and dads who stay with the children, and all of the kids are enrolled in the school and loving it! They have friends, who are like family now. They have community in their home and in church, where they sing and dance. And they're getting an education and have hope for a future. But most importatly, they are wanted, loved, and being pointed to Jesus.

We are now launching our Child Sponsorship program at this home! It will look entirely different than it does in Rwanda or Syria, because these kiddos need full-time care AND an education. Whereas our other kids have places to live- ex: the orphans in Rwanda have been taken in by neighbors, distant relatives, or church members- these kids have no where else to go and need 100% daily care.

The cost of a FULL SPONSORSHIP for each child in the orphange is $140 a month. We understand that that's a lot and not do-able for everyone, so we are offering a 2nd option: a PARTIAL SPONSORSHIP. Each child will then need 3 Partial Sponsorships to be fully sponsored OR 1 Full Sponsorship. This graphic is what you'll see at "check-out", if you decide to Sponsor one of these sweet kiddos and pour blessings and security into their young lives.

Notice that there are Partial Sponsorships, with recurring gift options coming out on the 1st or the 15th of each month, AS WELL AS a new annual recurring gifting option. And thent the same for the FULL Sponsorships: options for it to be gifted on the 1st or 15th of each month OR annually. Then you can choose to make your first gift today or wait until the next monthly cycle. For annual sponsorships, please select this box or we will not recieve your sponsorship gift for an entire year!

As with the other Sponsorship Programs, once you've entered your payment info, you can choose to enter a password and save your log-in info. That way, if you ever need to make updates on your card or Sponsorhsip, all you'll have to do is log-in to your account!

You'll also noticed a new and improved Biogoraphy section, when clicking through our kids' profiles. While each of our kiddos have unique stories, they usually involve one or both of their parent having died and if one parent is still living, they are too sick to care for the child. Imagine living in such extreme poverty, where everyone is so desperate and so hungry, that if one family's children need help- literally no one can help them because they don't even have enough to see their own families thrive. That's what it's like here in this nation, where persecuted Christians are 2nd-class citizens and even considered the slave-class. So that's why we stepped in to fill in these gaps. Will you join us in shining the light of Jesus into this darkness and dispair? Let's work together to 'feed His sheep': physically and spiritually!
